Two for one

Long weekend - feels so good to have three days for yourself. I'm busy doing absolutely nothing :)

Haven't taken a single picture for so long. At least I went through pictures from last two months deleting over 250 of them. Yes, 95% of all shots I take is crap. But there's this 5% that are reasonably decent. Sometimes even good. By my standards anyway :)

I hope to go out and shoot something tomorrow. Unless I decide to stay at home. Watch some movies, read a book in bed, relax. Life can be good...

Picture no 1 "Jubilation"

Picture no 2 (to make up for lack of postings recently) "Canary Wharf"

Have a great weekend everyone.

Picture of the day (well a few of them - finally had some time to look through blogs)

Mute (now this one is just sooo... I'm beyond words - you have to see it if you haven't already), Virtine en illumina, Skinnybuzzard, DeceptiveMedia

Wow, i like a lot the first one, and by the way, congratulations, 99% of muy pictures are crap, comparing with your 95% :P.

Nice you, your pictures and your picture of the day are back :D.

The jubilation photo is really great. She is like a blues queen... I can hear her singing.

Wow. Your images are stunning. I'd love to be more specific, but all I can say is that they just "feel great". Excellent work.

1 in 20 is a pretty good ratio. Off a roll of 36 I'd be happy with that.

Wow - two very different but wonderful shots - well done for capturing Jubilation at what looks like the best possible moment - the expression says it all. The second shot, is again a brilliant take on a well known icon. I have never seen a shot of it like that .

Love Jubilation, but didn't see a spot to comment on it. And this shot is great. Love the vision to see building through the metal. Great eye.

Love the sharp focus on her face in "Jubilation" and the soft edges.

And the sky of "Canary Wharf" is fantastic. I like the composition and colour tones too. Great work!

Two excellent shots - I love that top one - great capture. I tried that canary wharf shot before and got stopped by a security guard before I had a chance to take it.

Help me Dude, I'm lost.

I was searching for Elvis and somehow ended up in your blog, but you know I'm sure I saw Elvis in the supermarket yesterday.

No honest really, he was right there in front of me, next to the steaks singing "Love me Tender".

He said to me (his lip was only slightly curled) "Boy, you need to get yourself a shiny, new plasmatv to go with that blue suede sofa of yours.

But Elvis said I, In the Ghetto nobody has a plasma tv .

Dude I'm All Shook Up said Elvis. I think I'll have me another cheeseburger then I'm gonna go home and ask Michael Jackson to come round and watch that waaaay cool surfing scene in Apocalypse Now on my new plasma tv .

And then he just walked out of the supermarket singing. . .

"You give me love and consolation,
You give me strength to carry on "

Strange day or what? :-)
