Long weekend on it's way!! Finally some time to do all the nothing I want. I'm going to pack my cameras and go downtown for the whole day. Need to take some pictures - haven't taken any in almost two weeks now. Which is why I'm digging through my old pics trying to find something I can tweak in PS to make it "postable". Like the one below...

Trust the Light

No time for a note (yeah, I know - the excuse is getting boring). Instead I'm posting my first "shot of the day" link - an idea shamelessly ripped off Mute's blog (amazing pictures - please visit if you haven't already)...

Street Guitarist

My first street portrait (well, sort of). And guess what - asking somebody if they mind me having a picture of them is not that big of a deal after all. I am going to do it more often. I need to go to Camden Market (those who live or have been to London know why) on a Sunday and take a few portraits. That is, when I have some time. And there has been none of it lately. No time to shoot, no time to look through other blogs, no time to reply to emails, no time for anything... Aagh, someone get me out of here (preferably a beautiful rich princess - a shining armour and white horse not necessary).

A car

I think I'm going to start posting new pictures. My holiday from photography is coming to an end. Or so I hope. I still feel I miss inspiration - at least now I'm quite determined to find it again...

I'm easy like sunday morning...

Sunday was just perfect. I woke up to a beautiful day. Sun flooding my room, warm yet fresh air coming through the open window. And the prospect of good 15 hours just for myself. Nothing to do, nowhere to go, no calls to make. I woke up, got myself a steaming latte, lit up a ciggarette by the window. Perfect sunday morning. Sitting on my bed relishing the moment I thought to myself - there must be a way to capture the feeling. I took out a tripod, mounted my camera and fired a few shots. I actually like how it came out...

Guys, thanks a lot for taking the time to leave comments. A few kind words can make quite a difference. The London Eye picture was supposed to be the last one for a week or so while I take time off photography. Yet just a few comments motivated me to go post another pic. Silly as it is, our actions are driven by how others respond to us/to what we do. To a lesser or greater degree, depending on a person, but still...

Anyway, thanks once again. Have a great week.

Oh well...

This is the first update in almost a week. Can't even blame it on not having much time lately (my all-time favourite excuse). Well, I haven't had much anyway but really it's all down to not having been able to come up with any decent pictures recently. Spent good 3 hours walking around London today. Came back with not a single picture that I would like. Nice walk, I have to admit, but photographically a disaster. I'm lacking inspiration and lacking it badly. It's actually not even a question of inspiration - I've seen some excellent work lately (spent a few hours in a bookstore looking through photo albums earlier this week). However, I can't seem to be able to take any decent photos. Feels like I've stopped "seeing". Frustrating...

Anyway, enough of this. I guess I need to take a few days off (off photography that is). I'm sure by the end of next week my fingers will start itching and I'll start noticing photo opportunities again. Or so I hope.

Below a picture of London Eye (in the distance half-hidden behind the building) taken yesterday on my way back from work.

Keep well everyone.
